Pig Launcher Receiverare used in connection with pigging after installation and during commissioning. Valve and stab operations by ROV are accessible from two sides, thus twist in the flowline does not influence the operation.
The standard execution is based on 2” branches, valves and hot stab, enabling 40 l/sec flow.
Number of branches and valves depends on how many pigs that is to be fired and received. A standard manifold design gives very compact but modular valve arrangement.
The valve arrangement does always offer a double barrier to sea.
The valves are standardised for the purpose with the possibility to select the required pressure rating. Thus the Pig Trap can also be configured for pipeline pressure test.
A dual entry stab receptacle enables stabbing from either side. The Stab is pressure balanced and does not tend to pop out when pressurized. The stab has a swivel locking device to avoid that twist in the connected hose releases the stab.
The Pig Trap can be delivered with or without tension rigging. The typical tension range is 75T to 150T.
